The Ask

The Central Colorado Foodshed Partnership engaged Aging Dynamics to assist in developing a robust, multi-year action plan to strengthen the regional food system across El Paso, Fremont, and Pueblo counties. The COVID-19 pandemic has underscored the importance of resilient food systems and the necessity for collaboration among various stakeholders. The partnership aims to create inclusive, sustainable strategies that address challenges and opportunities within the local food system, fostering connections between community members and enhancing food security.
​Our Approach

Aging Dynamics provided a comprehensive approach that combined our expertise in food systems with a strong emphasis on community engagement and facilitating a collaborative strategy design process. The engagement included a kickoff meeting to align expectations, gather insights from previously collected data, and immediately jump into planning a community summit to be held in two weeks. The Aging Dynamics team designed and facilitated an interactive workshop designed to encourage participation with understanding the data and identifying priority action areas. This was then used during a facilitated strategy design process to develop the multi-year action plan that defined strategies for the future of the Central Colorado Foodshed. Aging Dynamics also provided report design and formatting services. The report is scheduled to be published in early 2025.
